Nursing Informatics Salary 2013 California

As already explained in a prior post, nursing informatics salaries can differ by quite a few circumstances like, location, education background, position title, software in use, size of hospital, etc.

In the graph listed below, I have collected current data from indeed.com, salary.com, and simplyhired.com, in an effort to provide a realistic display of what a person working in the nursing informatics industry actually earns, in accordance with salaries listed by these career websites.

While the widely quoted 2011 HIMSS Nursing Informatics workforce survey is, in my opinion, idealistic in reporting that the average salary in the US is hitting a 98k high, the statistics for California present a rather remarkable difference.

With regards to California, you can see that the median average salary is around $80,819, and the highest salary averages about $99,660. Although compared to many other states, California does have some high salaries, but the cost of living there is definitely higher, than in Texas for example.

If the HIMSS survey were to be realistic, we would see much higher averages in all these ranges, however this is clearly not what the real world data shows!

Nursing Informatics Salary 2013 CA State

To obtain the data above, I used salary.com as a reference, since in my experience, their salaries tend to be very close to what I have seen across different cities in the USA.

We see the low salary average, the median salary average and the high salary average for nursing informatics positions across different cities in California.

Below those figures, we have the HIMSS inflated nursing informatics salary average of $98,702.

The next two bars show average salaries for jobs that have the title Nursing Informatics Specialist (NI1*), and the other bar shows jobs that have the KEYWORD Nursing Informatics (NI2*).

This means that if a job is advertised as “Nursing Informatics Clinical Director,” and another job is advertised as “Nursing Informatics Entry-Level Trainer,” then both salaries will be average since both titles have the keyword “nursing informatics.”

What the indeed.com salaries on the graph show is that many times even average salaries won’t give us a realistic picture of what salary to expect out there.

Finally we have the simplyhired.com salary average for nursing informatics in CA.

If the HIMSS survey were to be credible, we would see much higher averages in all these ranges, however this is clearly not the case!

Finally we have the simplyhired.com salary average for nursing informatics.

Nursing Informatics Salary 2013 Michigan

As formerly described in a different post, nursing informatics salaries vary by several circumstances such as, job location, education background, position title, software in use, size of hospital, etc.

In the graph listed below, I have collected recent data from indeed.com, salary.com, and simplyhired.com, in an attempt to provide a realistic overview of what a professional working in the nursing informatics field actually earns, in accordance with salaries listed by these career internet sites.

Even though the widely cited 2011 HIMSS Nursing Informatics workforce survey states that the average salary in the US averages around 98k, the stats for Michigan display a different story.

With regards to Michigan, you can see that the median average salary is around $73,087, and the highest salary averages near $90,126.

If the HIMSS survey were to be credible, we would see higher averages in all these ranges, but this is clearly not what we see!

To obtain the data above, I used salary.com as a reference, since in my experience, their salaries tend to be very close to what I have seen across different cities in the USA.

We see the low salary average, the median salary average and the high salary average for nursing informatics positions across different cities in Michigan.

Nursing Informatics Salary 2013 Minnesota

As already explained in a previous post, nursing informatics salaries can differ by quite a few factors such as, job location, education background, position title, software in use, size of hospital, etc.

In the graph presented below, I have collected recent data from indeed.com, salary.com, and simplyhired.com, in an effort to convey a realistic display of what a person employed in the nursing informatics domain actually earns, based on salaries listed by these career sites.

Although the widely referenced 2011 HIMSS Nursing Informatics workforce survey states that the average salary in the US is hitting a 98k high, the figures for Minnesota indicate a different story.

If the HIMSS survey were to be accurate, we would see bigger averages in all these ranges, nonetheless this is clearly not what the real world data shows!
